Middle East Ends Year Under Fire

The Middle East is once again caught in the line of fire between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel’s military move against the Hamas organization has been going on for the last four days, and there is no sign of slowing down. Already, more than 350 have died, according to BBC News, in what Israeli leaders call a defensive more to protect its people from rockets fire over the border from Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said earlier that the air assult over Gaza was the first in several stages of operations against Hamas, despite the risk of harming civilians and UN aid workers.
