New Life Harvest celebrated its founding anniversary on February 1, 2009 with a whole day of service at the New Life Center. It was a simple thanksgiving for the first year of the ministry that was established after the dissolution of God’s Storehouse. The theme of the day was “Offering the First-fruits unto God”, which became the focus of the exhortations delivered.
The event was highlighted with inspirational exhortations from our deacons and ministers. Testimonies and song offerings were also heard, as well as a short skit by the young people. But the most awaited part of the day was the distribution of the gifts which every family brought as tokens of gratitude to each of the brethren.
My sermon in the morning, however, focused on the urgency of our time which the prophet also called a ‘junction of time’. A junction of time is a moment in history when an age or dispensation end and a new one begins. Like the days of Noah, the days of Moses, and the days of John the Baptist, we are living at such a time because we are now at the time when the grace dispensation will have run its course, comes to a close, and new age dawns at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
While we look forward to more of God’s work in the ministry, nothing will be greater than the dawn of the Lord’s promised return. That is every Christian’s true delight.
