Ewald Frank Holds 2-Day Convention
German missionary was in the Philippines during this weekend and held a 2-day convention in Manila. The event was held at the Bulwagang Tandang Sora, CSWCD Hall in the University of the Philippines Diliman Q.C. campus. It was attended by a large crowd of Message believers which mostly came from the Quezon City area.
Brother Frank spoke his usual introduction of the Message and the prophet-messenger William Branham, his ten years of supernatural experience and encounters with the prophet in the 50′s and 60′s, and his divine call from God to preach this Message to every city around the world. The meeting was also attended by a large number of ministers.
Brother Frank also took the opportunity to speak strongly against the strange doctrines that continue to proliferate in the Message churches. He stressed the importance of going back the one and only absolute of our faith, the Word of God. He also admonished the ministers to not try to make the prophet say what he did not mean to say in his sermons by splicing the tapes and quoting statements outside of the context.
But even though the ministers heard many words that hit hard against their personal conviction, they all listened and stayed after the service for a short meeting. Brother Frank encouraged us to stay on the Word and keep the fellowship through genuine love. He expressed his desire to return to the Philippines before the year’s end to stage an even larger event as well as visit some other cities in the country.
The event was organized by bro John Valdevieso, an old friend of brother Frank’s, because we were not able to communicate properly. Still I came to support the meeting of a friend and brother in Christ.
