German missionary Ewald Frank was in the Philippines for a very short time to meet with Filipino ministers. The fruitful meeting was held at New Life Center on November 18, 2009, and was graced by ministers who came from around Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Quezon, Bulacan and from as far as Pangasinan.

Brother Frank expressed his desire to help the Bride of Christ be united in the Word through ministerial gatherings and cooperation. Admitting that he was not called establish local churches, ha rallied the ministering brethren to abide by their calling and trust in the God who called them to supply their needs.

He also gave his usual testimony about his meetings with the prophet of God, William Branham, and his call to the ministry, emphasizing that his worldwide ministry is in direct connection with the endtime work of God through the prophet, and now in the Bride of Christ.

The ministers listened to Brother Frank’s words of admonition that lasted more than an hour, after which they had time to ask questions concerning spiritual and doctrinal matters. The whole event went on for almost three hours.

Immediately after the meeting, snacks were served and every one took the opportunity to greet and wish him well.

If all goes well and the Lord allows it, Ewald Frank will be returning to the Philippines to visit other cities. He also expressed his desire to hold one big gathering in Manila, and which will be advertised in the media.

I took a 4-day trip to Masbate to visit our sister churches and participate in one special event. I was accompanied by Bro. Renz Metrillo and 2 young people, brothers Joey Alico and Peter Jonah Ventucillo, who were eager to see and experience how our brethren in the province live.

We arrived at the port of Aroroy, Masbate on Tuesday, May 19, after 19 hours of travel by land and sea. We were met by two brothers who took us on a 20-minute boat ride to Brgy. Bariis where our host pastor lives. Brother Benny Villanueva invited me to be their guest speaker on their church’s first anniversary, an invitation I could not refuse.

The event was held on the next day, May 20 in the small chapel. People started coming from far away places for the fellowship. I spoke on “The Spiritual Inheritance of the Saints” and “True Fellowship” in the morning and afternoon services.

We took our trip to Cabitan, Mandaon after the afternoon service was over. We rode on motorcycles, more popularly called “habal-habal” among the locals. The 30-45 minutes bumpy ride was a sightseeing tour of the countryside. Pastor Joel Togonon, also a cousin of mine, warmly greeted us as we arrived in his place.

Pastor Joel has scheduled a whole day fellowship on May 21 for his people and for those who were not able to join with the fellowship at Bariis. The people started arriving in the early evening, having walked 4 hours from their place in the mountains.

I preached in the morning and in the afternoon services on “Guaranteed Inheritance” and “Love One Another”, respectively. A mighty outpouring of the power of the Holy Spirit came upon us, especially during the morning the service, as the people received the message by faith.

The mission trip was a great time for me and for my companions.

More photos can be viewed online from Picasa.

Brother James Veremu of Harare, Zimbabwe was in the Philippines this April for a month-long trip that brought him to various local churches down south, mostly in the Visayas and Mindanao. But last Sunday, the 26th of April, he was with us at the convention at Jabez Campsite, Dasmarinas, where he mightily ministered the Word of God to the Bride of Christ.

Brother James’ visit this year was his third already, attesting to the fondness of the believers to him and his ministry. But this would not have been possible without God’s providence, considering the economic problems his country is currently experiencing. Thanks to the help and assistance of friends in the ministry, especially brother Richard Gan of Singapore, we in the Philippines are able to enjoy the powerful ministering of the Word through the life of our precious brother.

The ministering of the word was also shared by our pastor from Butuan City, Pastor Orsel Dumanon. He accompanied brother James throughout his trip.

At the close of the afternoon service, prayers were also ministered as the altar was opened for those who were touched and convicted by the Word of God. The Presence of God was definitely there from beginning to end and the saints went home with renewed inspiration in the hearts.

I believe the youths should discover God’s mission for their lives. It is quite obvious that God called them early in life, not only to save them from the evils of this world, but also to be used in Kingdom works. Sad to say, many of our younger generation are either too absorbed in their studies or jobs, which are not necessarily wrong, or worse, wasting their time and opportunities in worthless activities.

Let me ask the young Christians who happens to be reading this article: are you actively involved in your church’s mission works? Have you discovered so far the thing or things that God want to accomplish in your life today? Are you working towards fulfilling your life mission?

It should more than just goals. A goal is anything that we want to achieve mostly for our personal benefits. But a mission, it’s something that comes from beyond our self, and it’s goals are more noble than self fulfilment. It is a work that God has placed in your life, and for which God has prepared you, and gave you your body and your abilities, for its accomplishment.

You should discover them, and pursue them, before the evil days come. That is, before you say I’m too tied up in my family reponsibilities, or, I’m too old and weak for that kind of work. The youth stage of life is where goals are set and defined and pursued with all of one’s might and abilities. Beyond this stage, it may be too late.

Life missions don’t have to be as big as the prominent ministries we know today, nor do they have to remain small. Great things start small. The idea is to start and condition ourselves into a life of service and ministry until they become our very life. As Jesus Christ our Lord said, the Son of man came to serve and not to be served.

I remember the first time I felt a zeal for the ministry. It was Sunday afternoon and I was relaxing in the small garden in front of my father’s church. The brethren have all gone back to their homes after the service. Then I saw this group of young people who were as they strolled along the street. They were obviously happy, enjoying their company and their music. Suddenly I felt a sting in my heart, and a question came up from within me, why can’t we – the young people in our church – have the same enthusiasm in serving God? Weeks later, we reorganized the youth ministry and I led them for the next six years.

That was approximately twenty years ago. I have long passed the baton of leadership to others who continued the work. That same youth ministry is still alive today and it has produced numerous young men and women who are being used by God today in various fields. As for myself, I continue my life of service to God and His people in various ways. Since I started pastoral work, the Lord has opened even more opportunities of kingdom work that has benefited many.

Singaporean Missionary and Pastor Richard Gan was in the Philippines for a series of visitation and ministering in Southern Luzon. His trip was warmly welcomed by the host churches and their respective pastors. He was billeted at The Bellevue Hotel Manila in Alabang Muntinlupa City for the duration of his stay, which is until the 18th of November.

His speaking engagement began in Candelaria, Quezon where he spoke on two occasions. On 12 November he spoke to a small group of denominational ministers gathered by Pastor Michael Ortiz. The next day, the 13th, he ministered to a joined meeting of the brethren from Candelaria and Lucena City, in Pastor Michael’s church.

This Sunday, Brother Richard was our guest speaker in New Life Harvest in Cubao Q.C. Pastor David Colili and his congregation to join us in the morning service. In the afternoon he spoke at God’s Tabernacle Fellowship in San Pedro, Laguna.

For many years, Richard Gan’s ministry has been warmly accepted in the country, mostly by open-minded and accommodating ministers and churches. Although he is widely known to be radical and straightforward stand in the Message, his ministry has been a great blessing to churches in Southern Tagalog, the Visayas and northern Mindanao.

Richard Gan’s missionary work has brought him to different countries in Asia, Africa, the Pacific and even North America.
